Though more compression was used for the DVD, the audio mixes are very much the same as on the “Live MCMXCIII” double CD, except for Hey Mr. Rain having stereo channels reversed and Some Kinda Love being not available on the official CD containing the song's June 16 recording. Eight songs of the setlist are missing. Song order is jumbled, performance was 1/9/4/2/6/7/10/5/3/11/8/12-15. "This first-ever DVD from the seminal band features sizzling performances from the quartet's European reunion tour. Filmed live at the Paris Olympia on June 15, 16, and 17, 1993, Live MCMXCIII captures the original lineup - Lou Reed, John Cale, Sterling Morrison, and Moe Tucker - on extended versions of VU classics like Femme Fatale, Pale Blue Eyes, and Heroin, and on more obscure fare like Hey Mr. Rain and I'm Sticking With You (both of which remained unreleased for years after the band's breakup), plus the then-newly written Coyote." |
