1969 was one of the busiest in the Velvet Underground's short life. The band toured extensively around the U.S. and Canada. Doug Yule, a budding photographer, decided to document, casually, one of thesecross country jaunts. His camera captured the band in moments of calm reflection, playfulness, and the business of being a road band. The trip began at the Second Fret in Philadelphia and ended in Texas at the now legendary End of Cole Avenue club. The performance shots are from an outdoor festival in Texas
