Notes: the insert is a repro of the original silver ticket for the Hamburg show.

Fierce Pup VU fanzine says: "2 CD set of June 11 show at Hamburg's Sporthalle. Nice graphics reproduce one of the best looking tickets of the tour. Sound is fair but suffers from sports hall recording. Guess I'm Falling In Love and The Gift are listed as Disappointed Love and Murder Mystery, and guess what Kiowee really is."

1-23: Wembley Arena, London, England, June 6, 1993.

Notes: insert with 1993 color photos and liner by Professor Stone.

Fierce Pup VU fanzine says: "2CD set featuring superior DAT sound, deluxe graphics, liner notes. Claims to be Rotterdam show but is actually entire Wembley Arena concert. This is perhaps the best bootleg available on all levels; sound, packaging, and performance. It also marks the first performance of Pale Blue Eyes. Buy this disc!"

Sal Mercuri says: "this 2CD set is a superior sounding audience boot of the entire June 6, 1993 VU show at London's Wembley Arena. The set features excellent graphics and great sound. The liner says it's from Rotterdam but it's not. During 'Sweet Jane' Lou sings "some people go to _____ to see a Velvet Underground concert". The blank is of course Wembley. The producers edited the word out, perhaps in an attempt to evade the authorities. This is an indispensable document of the 1993 reunion, in many ways better than the official set".

Reformed!

REFORMED!

GBMLYB Productions 19328, Germany, 1993

1. Sweet Jane (4'58) / 2. Some Kinda Love (7'17) / 3. All Tomorrow's Parties (7'15) / 4.Venus In Furs (5'43) / 5. Beginning To See The Light (6'10) / 6. Heroin (9'49) / 7. Hey Mr. Rain (8'02) / 8. 1-12: Glastonbury Festival, England, June 25, 1993.

Fierce Pup VU fanzine says: "single disc of Glastonbury Festival performance. No frills graphics; old 'shades' photo on cover. Ten song set. Least impressive sound mars what may've been a high tension performance. The recorder may've been running low on battery power on some songs, especially Mr. Rain are barely tolerable. For completist only."

Velvet 1993

HARVEST '93

Pale Blue Eyes (5'42) / 14. Coyote (5'17) / 15. Beginning To See The Light (5'00).

1-15: L'Olympia, Paris, France, June 16, 1993.

Notes: liner notes by Nikolas de Lascours.

Fierce Pup VU fanzine says: "single disc. Campbell's soup can cover and very little info regarding location. It's one of the Paris shows. Sounds generally good except for the quick fade-ins on some tracks. The audience comes through much more than on other recordings. Some may enjoy this because it provides a record of the real excitement the VU generated, and it is fun to hear a crowd singing along. This CD is not entirely essential, though, because it is incomplete and most of it is available officially. Before you get all excited, the Sister Ray listed on the liner is really Heard Her Call My Name."

Heroin (6'20) / 9. I'm Waiting For The Man (3'04) / 10. I'll Be Your Mirror (2'27) / 11. I Need You (1'21) / 12. Foot Of Pride (7'48) / 13. Style It Takes (3'12) / 14. Forever Changed (5'16).

1-7: The Paradiso, Amsterdam, June 8, 1993 / 8-12: Lou Reed, The Bottom Line, New York, February 19, 1993 / 13-14: John Cale, Lou Reed & Sterling Morrison, University Of New York, December 5, 1992.

Notes: limited edition of 1000, issued with sticker. I Can't Stand It is listed on the cover but not included.

Fierce Pup VU fanzine says: "2 discs sold separately. As part 1 and 2 they make up the entire Paradiso, Amsterdam show of June 8. Part 2 includes many bonuses of varying sound quality. There are 5 Lou Reed live solo tracks from his songwriters' forum performance in NYC early 1992, and Style It Takes and Forever Changed from John Cale's December 1992 NYU show featuring Lou and Sterling on guitars.
The Paradiso set presents the VU in a very small club setting and is generally of good sound quality. The packaging is what makes it a must for fans. It purports to be a limited edition of 1000, and features a small peelable banana on the CD case. Disc 2 includes a sticker of the famous Castle' photo session and a reproduction of a banana poster signed by all four Velvets."

Ossi Park

OSSI PARK

German 039, Germany, 1994

1. Some Kinda Love (8:35) / 2. We're Gonna Have A Real Good Time Together (2:48) / 3. Femme Fatale (2:58) / 4. Venus In Furs (4:28) / 5. All Tomorrow's Parties (5:30) / 6. Rock 'n Roll (5:05) / 13. I Can't Stand It (4:59) / 14. Waiting For The Man (4:19) / 15. Pale Blue Eyes (5:12).

1-15: Roskilde Festival, Denmark, July 1, 1993.

Notes: nice digipak but bad rendering of the Roskilde Festival show, speed is too fast. The strange title refers to folks coming from old East Germany (Ossi) to buy cheap fruit (among others bananas) at the markets (Park) in the West. Bananas were apparently expensive in the East before the wall was fallen...

Fierce Pup VU fanzine says: "butchered rendering of Roskilde festival show; speed is all wrong, song order juggled, and set is incomplete. get your hands on a good tape of this show and avoid this mess."

Fierce Pup VU fanzine says: "Keep dreaming. This is really just a repackaged Wembley show. If you bought Take a Trip, don't bother with this."

1-15: soundboard recording, The Playhouse, Edinburgh, Scotland, June 2, 1993.

Incomplete reboot of The Playhouse 1993 SBD 2CD.

"Forged in the white light, white heat of the New York avant-garde scene in the mid 1960s, The Velvet Underground blazed a trail so far ahead of their contemporaries they often appear to have dropped fully formed into the history of popular music. Aside from the image and iconography, so perfectly designed by maverick manager Andy Warhol, the experiments with form and sound that worked in tandem with crucial melodies and outrageous lyrics, moved infamous muisc writer Lester Bangs to declare that the Velvets started modern music. This F.M. CD was recorded in 1993 and features all the greatest hits from VU."
